the past decade that numerous golfers have used out on the course…

Another Partnership Ended with Tiger Woods....
EA Sports’ popular PGA Tour game will no longer be named for
Tiger Woods.
The company announced on its blog that it and Woods have
made a “mutual decision to end our partnership” and that the company would keep
working with the PGA Tour on its next golf title.
Tiger Woods name has been on the EA Sports’ popular golf
game since it came out in 1998. This year
will be the last one that presents his name on the cover: “Tiger Woods PGA Tour
14.”
“We had an incredible run,” Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg told
ESPN, adding that he is in talks with another company with respect to Woods’
video game rights. “Outside of [John] Madden, you would be hard pressed to find
a sports figure that meant as much to a video game company as Tiger meant to
EA. But times are changing and EA had to re-evaluate the partnership, and
frankly so did we.”
This is all very unsettling as a Tiger fan how to you just
end a run that was so successful to you in the past? My only thoughts
are..Tiger must have something bigger and better he is working on to end this
kind of a relationship. I only wish I had
the insight as to what it is…

Grand Slam of Golf Review......
For my loyal viewers you know my love for Adam
Scott is pretty strong. Being able to
watch him an extra week at the Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda made this
shortened week of work bearable…having him win was the icing on the cake. Four shots back with 10 holes to play and
coming out on top shows you the grind and work ethic this famous golfer has
shown us time and time again this season.
What’s even more impressive is the fact that he went bogey-free to shoot
a seven under 64 which was a course record.
Not too shabby of a day on the course Mr. Scott.
Rose shot
67-69 to finish second at six under while PGA Championship winner Jason Dufner
(69-70) was third at three-under and Padraig Harrington, filling in for British
Open winner Phil Mickelson, shot 74-71 to round out the field at three over.
"I'm
thrilled to come out on top. It felt like a long round out there but I was
happy with the score," Scott said. "Standing
on the 11th tee, didn't look like a score like that was going to be possible,
but I played very well and managed to slowly claw away at Justin."
Starting
three shots back of Rose and dealing with tropical rain, Scott jumped out of
the blocks early with a birdie on the opening hole to pull within two. Another birdie on the third hole pulled the
Australian within one shot and right into the thick of the action. But just as
Scott was breathing down his neck, the Englishman lifted and rattled off four
straight birdies on holes four through seven.
This is only a small review of the dynamic game these two put on for us
on Wednesday.
He claimed
more than $600,000 and the pink jacket for the champion. Way to go Adam!!!
The
33-year-old now has his sights on the three major Australian tournaments and
the World Cup, also to be held in Australia. Good Luck!!!

PGA Championship Moving Outside USA???....
The PGA is constantly trying to
improve ratings, viewers interests and challenge the golfers. IT has been written in the Golf Digest
magazine of the possibility of moving the PGA Championship one of the four majors of the
PGA outside the United States of America as early as 2020 seeing as 2019 has
already been given to Bethpage Black.
We all know that Americans seem to be
the most proud people in this world. How
do you think they will react to hearing the news of the possibility that it
would not be held in the USA? I can only
imagine the negative impact this will have on viewers especially the American citizens. Put this into prospective for a minute. Would we be willing to have the Canadian Open
not on Canadian soil?? I think not!!
“This is an
exercise we are going through, an analysis,' PGA of America chief executive
officer Pete Bevacqua told Golf Digest.
'It is far from a
fait accompli that we are going to take the PGA Championship international.
'When we sat down
to map our strategic plan to service our members and grow the game the question
arose as to what impact it would have to take the PGA Championship to an
international location once or twice a decade.”

me know your thoughts in the comment section below!!

Up And Coming.....
Today’s post is going to be a feature on Jordan Spieth. Jordan has had a fantastic year on the PGA
tour and I think he could have the potential to be the next best thing in the
next few years. The twenty year old had
1 PGA win, 2 -2nd place finishes, 3 – 3rd place finishes
9 top 25 finishes and only missed 18 cuts.
His money total is $3,879,820 currently.
The best news for him? His season
isn’t over with he is now concentrating on the Presidents Cup.
Up for rookie of the year title and to me I feel like he has
it in the bag. He has proven time and
time again that he has what it takes he’s a grinder and he wants it so
bad. I have enjoyed watching him grow
over the 2013 season and I’m very impressed with what I have seen.
Kyle Porter was quoted saying: “Except that I watched it
with my own eyes and I watched the 19-year-old rookie with zero PGA Tour status
transform himself into a 20-year-old superstar who led the PGA Tour in top 10
finishes and swiped a spot on the
Presidents Cup squad from Jim Furyk.”
Gary Player even tweeted: “Jordan Spieth. The real
deal. Impressive young gun!” When you get a tweet from a legend like that
you know you have made it.
His finish at the Fedex Cup was the highest finish by a
rookie in the short history of the FedEx Cup:
Jordan Spieth (2013) -- 7th
Keegan Bradley (2011) -- 20th
Marc Leishman (2009) -- 20th
Brandt Snedeker (2007) -- 20th
Andres Romero (2008) -- 28th
John Huh (2012) -- 29th
With a 67.8% fairway hit statistic and 66.98% greens in
regulation Jordan should been on all of our watch list come the Presidents Cup. Good Luck Jordan!!!
